Hi there, just to say last time we had a Crown carvery it was £3.59 exclusive of dessert. This was at Ninfield, near Bexhill. Still very good value though :money:
id be asking for your 9p back then

That's right AM, it was £3.59 at our CC as well - up 9p.
Still great bargain and saves cooking/washing up for my hubby, I'll be doing the Toby tomorrow.

Thanks j, it always was £3.50 but we did pay £3.59 at the Astley Arms only a few weeks ago and actually commented on the silly price between us. I suppose a 9p rise is better than say a 49p increase and certainly don't mind as I still think it's a great bargain - drink prices aren't too bad either.
The next time you are in yours j please confirm the price.
    It actually states £3.59 here:

Are the meat and vegetable varieties in Toby the same as Crown? Crown has gammon, beef and turkey, and for vegetable, they have onion gravy, carrots, sweetcorns, green beans, peas, cheese cauliflowers and potatoes. dunno about Toby though.

Toby generally have a bigger selection of veg. and better yorkshires. I was told by a Toby manager that the difference was that the veg. at the Toby's is not frozen. Same selection of meats though.
At £5 for the two courses I would favour the Toby over the CC, but still use CC on a regular basis.

This is a very good offer.

The Toby Carvery carvery is £8.50, but is reduced to £5 on lunchtime special. You can get 'icecream' for £1 making it £6 (I think thats just 1 scoop in a normal bowl).

I believe this offer gives you a £2.50 'icecream sundae' free.

So in the evening, you'd be paying £11.

    Really good offer!

    Great find thanks! :T:T:T

By the way, do you know if this is a one-time offer - or can you print off more than one voucher and go on again on another day?

Print as many times as you like before the offer expires. Go as many times as you like! :)

Crown Carvery is good, especially for cheap lunches. You see a lot of pensioners there. Problem is that other than the carvery, everything else is not such good value.

Definately Toby Carvery is better, but whether its worth paying £1.50 more at lunchtimes is debateable especially if you go often - it all adds up.

However, with the free icecream sundae voucher its a no brainer!

I went to the Kingston Park Toby yesterday and was too full to post, still suffering now.
Two carveries, two ice cream sundaes, 1 pint of John Smiths and a lime and soda for a grand sum of £12.85 (lime and soda was a strange choice for hubby - just kidding). It was pretty quiet to be honest which was nice and there was a large selection of veg, the yorkshires were massive, or as my hubby would say, "They look like Fanny's" (Craddocks for those who haven't heard that joke before).
Highly recommended offer, please don't miss it.
