Hi there
have got a virus that won't let me down load any maleware/spyware free sites but steps in to block it with the following:
We are sorry but your query looks similar to requests from a computer infeñted by viruses or spyware applications.
To protect our users, we can't proceed with your request at the moment.
We will restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again later.
Meanwhile, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your system is free of viruses and other malicious software.
have got symantec anti virus updated and run but it is not registering a problem. I'm not brilliant with computers but have got rid of previous problems on family computer with maleware after following directions from sticky on here but any ideas how I can fight this one off- any help would be gratefully received- i have googled and tried to install what has been suggested but the virus won't let me access the right page etc.
thank you sooo much for any ideas

access safe mode (F8 when windows is booting) then select from the list safe mode with networking, you should now be able to access the webpage to download malwarebyte0

Yep, any email you can get, and be able to save the file attachments
yahoo mail, google mail, other email. or through outlook express.0 -
thanks MartyJ but the link opens up as a plain IE page- whenever I get to what seems close to a solution IE says theres been an "exception" and closes the internet down- am going to try and download malewarebytes to usb from this computer and try to upload to laptop- bet the little !!!!!! is reading my mind now!can't do this til later though- kids to feed and must stop getting obsessed!!
I do appreciate your help experts.
any other ideas - i'd be willing to try anything if it doesn't work-
thank you - vitual beer for you all0 -
Go into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING
Download FIREFOX
Use firefox to download malwarebytes from here ~
http://download.softpedia.com/dl/d7b40efc36c11067c06480b7bc77a03e/4a84478d/100081598/software/antivirus/mbam-setup.exe
Assuming it does then youll probably need to RIGHT CLICK the downloaded file and RENAME it to be able to install it
Once installed UPDATE (if you can) then run a FULL scan
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log):idea:0 -
if you cant sign in to safe mode, then try the username 'administrator' and leave the password blank.
If that doesn't work do you have access to a working internet connection and a CD writer? download Trinity rescue kit and burn it to a disk, then follow these instructions to reset the admin password. You should then be able to log into safe mode, then run malwarebytes.

it was a horror and although i did try some of your ideas I think the fact it is a work computer and had some things i could and couldn't do, not being the administrator, left me dangling. again many thanks, really appreciated your help
