quidco and paydayuk - £45 profit

  • I did this a week or so ago (and had to send in ID) - the transaction tracked very quickly in Quidco, but hasn't validated yet. Wonder how long it'll take?

(I see the Payday cashback amount appears to have dropped to £50 on Quidco now)

Has anybody that has emailed or faxed their ID to paydayuk had their quidco cashback validated or does it never track?

i think theres a high chance that you would be accepted for a small amount like £80 especially as you are on the e/roll. Theres no harm in trying!

I think they just ask for id at random. Think its something to do with the laws on money laundering etc that they've got to ask for id from a certain %.
  • I have SERIOUSLY poor credit!!!! And i got accepted for this. Money verified in quidco - took a couple of weeks and am awaitin payment now :) - definitely worth doing but bear in mind they take £5 per year admin so actually got £40
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

  • I just wanted to let you know that I took up this deal and went through quidco to get the cash back, its tracked and validated, I have no problems with quidco, but I have received my bank statement today and my bank NATWEST charged me £35 as a guaranteed payment charge!!!! As far as I'm concerned there was no need for this as there was money in my account when I repaid Payday uk. Do you think I should contact my bank and query this?

Hell Yeah! you need to query this. I dont know what a guaranteed payment charge is meant to be for, but if you have enough money in your account to cover the payment, then it doesnt sound fair to me.

As a point of principal I have always phoned and complained about every bank charge that has ever been put on my account, (whether or not I actually deserved it). I talk nice and slow and repeat my point several times when I call. The reason being that call centre staff are under pressure to take a certain number of calls every hour and if I'm lucky, I get somebody who, instead of having to endure a long chat with me for 20 minutes or so, instead takes the "quick and easy" way out and simply refunds the charge, which they do usually have discretion to do.
Sometimes im lucky and sometimes i'm not. But I do know that if I dont ask then I wont get!
  • I did this a few months back and this week my phone has not stopped ringing - 2 different companies phoning me regarding my loan request. I've told them on the phone nicely that 'No thank you', I've ignored their calls, rejected their calls and also told them rudely to leave me alone. Now the text messages have started too.. I started by ignoring them but they're very persistent. At the end of the text it says to reply with "STOP" to opt out.. iv'e done this but it doesn't stop them texting and calling anyway.

I don't know for sure whether it's because of this Payday deal - has anyone else had this happen to them!? - but it's very, very annoying.
  • Yes, I was plagued by affilates of Paydayuk. I was annoyingly diverted to another loan company after submitting my loan application to them. Beforehand I made sure I'd ticked all the 'no 3rd party' contacts but still they arrived by email, text and phone call for a good few days after.

My last unwarranted loan offer, by text, was refused by replying F**K O**
instead of STOP. Peace at last ( :
  • Argh it's really annoying.. they're continuing today and it's only 910am! I just told the woman to leave me alone and asked her how she got my details.. she said "from another company". I asked what company and she said she didn't know! I told her to f**king take my details off her database and stop harrassing me - she said she would so fingers crossed!! I will try your version of the "STOP" text next time and see if that works. Thanks :)
  • anyone know if this is still going, cant see anything on Quidco but my pooter is messing about ??...
taken on second job + £160 per month
rejigged my bills + £190 per month
got cheaper car to run + £40 per month
    got two liftsharers + £120 p/m
    given up smoking since 31/12/2008 + 180 p/m
  • It seems to be, yes but it now looks like it's £40 cashback. If you type 'Payday' in to the search bar on quidco it comes up.
