Michael Jackson Ticket Refund

Options
Hiya folks:p

Having a problem with see tickets to get refund for 2 tickets for Jackson concert.

Day after news was broken, I called see tickets to see what was happening regarding refunds. Was told I would receive a email explaining that I would get the option for a limiited edition ticket or my money back.

Received the email 6 weeks back & I opted for refund. Was told it would take up to 28 days. Waited patiently. Still nothing.

Rang up again last week to be told out of the 375,000 ticket refunds MY one was the ONLY one not to be refunded!!! 3 - 5 days I was told. 7 days has now passed & I called up again and have been told I have just to be patient as the promoters are releasing the cash very slowly??!!

I paid for the tickets with my switch card.

Is there anyone out there having the same problem or had any joy in getting their money back from them. Have trailed the internet to see but no joy!

Any advice would be much appreciated :p

  • Hi there, i'm in the same position as you, I applied for a refund for my 2 tickets on their website on July 1st and I still haven't received my money back.

However, I just got off the phone to their customer support and was assured the refunds are still being processed (apparently each one needs to be done by hand - yeah right!) and that it will be returned to me by the end of this month "at the absolute latest".

    Watch this space! ;)
  • Thanks I'll keep you posted with my end too
  • Still no refund here, i'll give them until Monday then i'm calling again. Any news your end?
  • Luckily I bought my tickets from Ticketmaster so full refund given within a 10 period after filling out the form Contact your card company and put the matter into dispute, At least it will start the ball rolling.

Don't you just love it when a money making exercise goes so spectacularly wrong?

Even MSE'ers fell for it....as can be seen above.

Great music, yes, but this was just to roll in the $$$ and it backfired in the biggest possible way.
  • Stil no refund, still no explanations. I lost my patience on the phone tonight and have also sent a threatening letter. We shall see what happens!
  • Well my letter was obviously threatening enough, i've now got a response saying the refund has been processed!:D

    Great news.

You can invest your refund in one of these

  • Hi I am having a nighmare getting my refund for 3 tickets from See. After waiting 6 months, I rang them at the start of this month, and was told by some incompetent fool that I 'was down to get a refund' and 'no one had got round to it yet'. Which I said was unacceptable and I wrote to See and AEG's Customer Services. I've had no reply from anyone.
Last week, 3 'souvenir tickets' (aka rip off) arrived. When I rang See, they basically called me a liar without saying those words, and according to their system, I was always down for the tickets and not a full refund. I'm out over £250, and they told me to email AEG, whose automatic reply to my email referred me back to See!! They were not apologetic or surprised that I was angry, which makes me think that they are doing this to a few people.
The way I see it now is I haven't got any proof that I wanted a refund, as there was no confirmation email when I filled in their form online. How can I prove that I did actually want a refund all along and get my money back? I can't afford to waste £250 on 3 bits of paper!! Am so angry that they are trying to steal the money from me cos someone changed what was written on their stupid system.

Please help. what can I do to make them refund me and honour my consumer rights?

Don't know how much they cost, but tickets are going for £80ish on ebay.
