I have to be honest it wouldnt bother me in the slightest if my MIL wanted to choose the colour of her button hole. My wedding day is all about being happy and not worrying if colours etc don't match. I'm quite laid back about stuff like that.

Luckily we're all different coz I know a lot of people will disagree with me.

  • Stuff like this makes me glad we're gonna try for the medieval theme
(When ever it happens and if we ever find a venue we like)

No button holes, I dont care what colour dress theywear, no bridesmaids, no best man - Just us walking in together and everyone else in medieval costume so not even stressing mother about the shoes that she may not be able to walk in and my mil2b can wear her trainers under the long frock if she wants to :D And sisters cant complain that their dress isnt cutting edge fashion or she's bought the same dress as me, cos most of them will come from the same place and will be hundreds of years out of fashion.

I thought all the medieval thing was a bit of a palava to start with - Might be the best choice for us ;) :rotfl:

My ex MIL did something similar. We ordered Orchids for her and ex hubs sister. beautiful flowers they were, their choice. Neither had made a decision on their outfit colour so we had cream.
The moring of the wedding ex MIL said she "didn't like the chosen flowers" so went into her garden and picked roses from her bushes. I wish I'd have known this before, would have saved me a packet!!

Is it going to be a keep the peace issue??
