Welcome to Subway, Manchester

BIG thumbs up to Manchester Arndale Subway branch - the one near BHS.

A young girl was handing offers out at the entrance and greeting customers as they walked inside the seating area.

A frail elderly gentleman came in and without him even saying anything she immediately escorted him to the closest table, cleaned it and took his order. Within minutes he was eating his sub! The queue was also about 5 minutes long.

Kudos to the branch. I'm not sure whether it's in the training or if it was the girl's initiative - either way the staff behind the counter had no problem processing the order quickly.

This is certainly the best piece of customer service (and team work) I've seen for a long time!

As the old man got up to leave, the girl said to him 'see you same time tomorrow, Grandad!'

Nice to read about that...my local Subway closes early due to all the hoodies that hang out there - no-one else will go in there!

    And this is "equality"?

The old guy didn't even have to queue up. Disgraceful. Bet he got a better parking space as well!
