My daughter and boyfriend are looking to book two nights in May at one of the hotels on the Alton Towers Resort. Please could anyone tell me where to find any offers on either hotel. Many thanks

Try googling for some opinions because when I stayed there about 5 years ago the place was underwhelming and shabby. I was deeply disappointed. I hope it is better now but haven't been back since.

we stayed last year in mid june and had a fantastic time....we done it on a budget...alton towers were doing special offers of £99 (up to 4 people)per room per night including tickets to the water park.
what we done was arrived late friday and stayed in the thistle east midlands hotel (£80 incl breakfast and alton towers theme park tickets) and chilled out in their health spa and pool. checked in saturday morning at splash landings in alton towers and spent that day in the water park and then used our alton towers admissions tickets on the sunday...
so for £180 for two nights incl breakfast, water and theme park tickets for 2 adults, 1 child and infant turned out a great deal...
here the thistle link

If you spend more than £10 in Woolworth's, you will be given a booklet of 2-for-1 vouchers for Alton Towers (amongst other attractions), which obviously should come in handy for you. However in addition inside the booklet, is a voucher for 2 nights for the price of 1 at Alton Towers resort, which I'm guessing is exactly the kind of offer you're looking for?!
As always, there are terms and conditions and limitations on the vouchers.... and if you don't particularly want anything from Woolworth's, you can always simply buy anything that's more than £10 and then just get a refund on it! They don't ask for the vouchers back!
Hope that helps,
