Until the mortgage on a like-for-like property is less than a rent. What else? :rotfl:

    Wow!

Everyone and their dog is posting on this thread, so I thought I better post before I go up the apple & pears to Bedfordshire (somebody has to work you know).

Don't throw all the toys out of the pram whilst I'm sleeping, and I'll be sure to wake you up first thing in the morning.

    Now good night children.........

Silly bear, you got that the wrong way round.

Prices will rise until the price of a house is the same as the cost of a lifetime of rent on a like-for-like property.

On that measure, house prices are only about 40% of their true value today.;)

Seems like the old adage is true - people have short memories. This was often the reasoning why no lessons were learnt from the 90's bubble and crash. Except that this time, the general public and a few on this forum have become so moronic as to forget after less than a year.

Like I said, this is a nation that is eating it's own young. That some posters take pleasure out of this is truly sad.

Yep and the fact that some posters take pleasure in people suffering from negative equity is even sadder.

and the posters that take pleasure in rising unemployment is even sadder then that.

And again, like spiv and dan, you fail to understand cause and consequence. Negative equity is the consequence of the bubble. It's inevitable. But hey, but if your small cabal prefer to keep your hands down each others pants with your nice little thank-a-thon for posts that are both fundamentally wrong and misleading, what does it matter. It's just a forum, innit.

Yes it is, and thousands of people are suffering with it.

    What's your point?

Heavens you sound like Mr.Smith from the matrix.

It's that supposed to be witty? No wonder people are deserting the forum if this is the quality of new posters. Good quality debate is dead here.
