I hope someone can help.
My Dad's LG TV is acting up. The TV displays red as blue, other colours are reversed or shown as grey. The TV's on screen display (for changes in volume for example) should normally be displayed in green, now they are in a redish orange.
All the connections have been checked and the source verified as functioning correctly (DVD recorded and played back on pc - colours fine). I've been through the TV setup menus and can't see anything wrong.
Could it just be that the TV is kaput? It's an LG 28" 2 years old and out of warranty.
Looking for advice before starting to shop for a replacement.
Any thoughts most appreciated.

Assuming its a CRT TV, then it sounds like one of the guns in the tube has failed, or possibly the drive to it.
Saw a flat screen (tube) Grundig 28in, with built in freeview for £200 in Tescos today.
So you would need to factor the price of a new one when getting a repair quotation. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Will it display the correct colours when it is not connected to any AV source (disconnect the SCART). If yes, then most probably something goes wrong with either the SCART cable or the connector. Happened to my telly all the times..0

Has he tried leaving it unplugged for a while - say overnight? If all else fails hit it on the side and top a few times - used to work in the old days
