Reclaiming financial hardship if married?

Im married, we have a morgage and my husband earns a good wage.
However, on a personnal level, i am in the mist of setting up a business, have about £10k in personnal debt (out of necessity, not frivalous buying... ie: paying car insurance etc, tax bills cos if i had taken it from my months wages i wouldnt have had enough left to pay bills afterwards etc... all from past years).
I cant get my business running until ive paid for the final things i need, and my current income in low, and i have no spare time to get a part time job.
My husband already pays for most stuff and he cant afford to keep me, and i think its unfair to expect him to.
I could really do with these bank charges back... but am guessing because i am married i cant claim under the hardship rules even though i am struggling?

It is your household income which is taken into account when deciding hardship yes. You don't sound as though you have any priority debts as they are covered by hubby anyway. So I think your assumption is right that you wouldnt get through under hardship rules.
You should still of course put your claim in for charges refund but I wouldnt expect it to go anywhere fast.
Regards your tax bill - whats your situation with that ?LegalBeagles0 -
