Things have certainly changed since I was in the industry then, we added it onto every policy and it was the policyholders option to take it off if they wanted.
There is no way I wouldn't have it, personally, the same as I wouldn't drive around without breakdown cover. I feel more reassured knowing that I am protected.0 -

Firms are stripping out all the frills these days to get the lowest prices and therefore the highest spots on the comparison websites. Increasing the excess is another common trick.0
