  • iPlayer will eat through that 3Gb in a matter of hours. Depending on what you look at 3Gb should cover 30mins or so of browsing a day (I'm assuming you get 3Gb a month)

  • thats not much is it. just browsing say facebook and ebay etc...
  • Ok, if you're not watching videos and playing large Flash games and are just looking at pics on FB and eBay you should get a good few hours a day for 3Gb a month. Just be aware that as soon as you do anything involving video, etc. it'll be used up quick :)

3GB would last for weeks if only used for basic surfing and email and not many days if used for iPlayer because video chews the bandwidth.

Most web pages will be less than 100kB including images so 3GB would be 30,000 pages.

Images get cached so if viewing pages from the same few sites most of the web page furniture (buttons logos etc.) get downloaded once only and all you are downloading is the html (text + some positioning and style info) which is pretty small.

I get by fine on 1GB per month for just browsing ordinary websites.
