Table Top - Not balloons

Morning Everyone,
Until now me and OH had decided to have a 3 balloon cluster in the middle of each of our tables. But now we're thinking it's a bit boring. Whilst it will look lovely and we obviously liked it enough in the first place to pick balloons I just think there could be more interesting things we could put there instead? There is 1 prob though (isn't there always!), the price of balloons is just less than £6 per table, so I've worked that into my budget. Which means whatever else I pick needs to be no more than that.
Just wondered what other people are having, or if anyone has got any suggestions for me?
Thanks!

Are you allowed candles?
Were having 4 x lowboy bolsius candles on each table (flame is enclosed so its not too much of a fire hazard) and scatter crystals. Candles are £1.79 each and crystals ar £20 for 300. you only need a few on each table and you could cut back on candles0 -
Why not put the twinkle ribbon on your balloons or put the led lights in the (search ebay for them both) - then you can still have the balloons, but they are much less 'boring'. I wanted balloons, but my friend (who's doing all the organising) told me they wouldn't suit the style of the wedding (in a village hall - we're doing it out with bunting and draping fabric etc.) - which is true and I know she's right, but I love balloons, so we've agreed a couple with either the twinkle ribbon or the lights - so we're both happy!0

I'm trying to think of something too - we were going for balloons aswell as tealights but as the owner of the reception venue said we're getting married close to the longest day so it'll only be the last hour we'll get to see/use the candles and I'd like something more unusual to balloons.

I don't think I'm going to have anything apart from name places, the table is really cluttered with just plates & glasses and that's before bottles of wine!0

I was recently looking at the wedding section on ebay and there is a company wot do a diy kit for 10 tables thats 3 balloons one wot say "Just Married" and the other 2 in wotever colour you want plus weights and ribbon and it was 99p and 99p for delivery. Sorry i cant remember the name of the company but if u got this you would have more money 2 spend on extra centre pieces for u tables I think im deffo gonna go 4 them!0

We were going to have balloons but I think I have now changed my mind and might go for candy bouquets instead as they double as wedding favours!:TMSE B2B 4th June 2010! :T0

have you thought about wooden roses they are mega cheap and you could make lovely arrangements with them and if youve got £6 per table you would be able to have quite a lot on each , you could either put them in oasis or a vase with some greenery

Really differnt. If I decide to have a bouquet I might use one of these too

Those are absolutely lovely. Never seen anything like that before.
Be good as a bouquet, but out of my price range for table decorations.Bride to Be - 28th August 2010 :dance:0
