Parking in London tomorrow afternoon!!

I have to go to London tomorrow (to BBC White City) and need to drive there from Derby (no possibility of getting the train - too expensive + not right times for travel)

Where is a good place to park? I need to be there at 4.30 / 5.00pm so want to avoid congestion charge if possible. I’m happy to park and get the tube – but where should I go? I am thinking that at that time of day it’s going to be hard as most commuters will have already taken up the spaces for the day.

Any help greatly appreciated?

I would park somewhere on the outskirts and get the tube in.

BBC White City is not in the congestion charge zone at all. The zone starts much further into the centre of London
You can use the below link to check if a post code you are visiting is in the zone or not.

Re parking - - in that area you could park on the street at a Pay and Display or meter until 6.30pm after which it is free to park on the street. These spaces will not be used by commuters as they generally have a 2 hour maximum time limit during charging hours - so you would prob find spaces quite easily especially in that are around the BBC as there is not much else there. You could park at 4.30 - pay for 2 hours shouldn't be more than £2-3 (I think) - and then you are safe leaving the car there after 6.30pm for as lomg as you wish.
Just make sure that you check any roadsigns for timings first - as they can vary.
There is also an NCP in White city - though that will be more expensive.

However if you want to play it safe - you can park at any tube stations on the central line - i.e Greenford, South Ruislip, - where you can pay £2-3 to park in the station car park - or you can find a side street a few mins walk away, and then walk to the station.
The central line station in white city is right opposite the BBC Television centre.
    See here for more details.

    Good Luck!!!!

The BBC have their own multi-storey car park on site as well (or they used to last year anyway). If you're actually visiting television centre, then ring them and see if you can get them to let you park in there. ;)
