  • evening all..

all the charity shops and the jumble sale have worn me out...oh that and my noisy neighboughs playing music until 2.30am gggrrrr

Have just got round to putting pics on blog.

Loved the jumble sale...so much fun...I spent £2 and bought home a bag full so I'm a very happy girl.

best bargain buy today though is my Jones the Boot Maker patent shoes from chazzer shop for £4

Hugs to anyone who needs it x
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

  • Evening all :)

DB hope your appointment goes well hun I agree an early night or just sitting relaxing doing something that you enjoy tonight is a good idea.

Ive found out theres a jumble sale on at the church hall where DD goes to tumble tots on Saturday- my eldest is having a couple of friends over so they will be brainwashed in front of the x box no doubt all afternoon, Dd is going to her grandparents in the morning so guess where Im going?? Woohoo hope its good!

Edited to add that my oh will be in the house I wont be leaving 4 boys in my house alone while I shop haha

  • God I have some horrible stuff! I've just ebay listed an orange polyester top! What was I thinking!

Neice update - they have moved her from a specialist childrens hospital to a local hospital so she must be stable enough to warrant moving. Fingers crossed.
  • Caroline I hope your niece is better soon do they know whats wrong? DD has had a fair few viral infections over the past couple of years so we have had a fair few trips to a and e the last one in the back of an ambulance all very scary stuff which has left her with an almost permanent cough and the need for an inhaler (with one of those huge masks they give for kids) when the weather is cold. Fingers crossed for her x

    thats good news.
  • She has tested negative for swine flu so they are just saying some sort of pneumonia. We've only had the odd text from SIL so not much news really.

Great news Caroline, lets hope she is better soon,
I really want to go jumbling, must try and find out where they are.
Oooh Caroline - PM me your ebay name for the top (joke!)
They do say one man's trash is another's treasure. I usually get more for horrible things than nice things! You might be surprised.
I might leave the blog unti tomorrow as I have total bloggers block!
  • Evening Everyone,

What a lot to catch up on.

Caroline - Thinking of your niece and family. Hugs. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.
Queenie - Look forward to seeing your haul from the jumble sale... will pop to your blog soon.

Ok undie chat - I'm never a matching girl unfortunately! I should really make more effort. I'm a B cup, used to be C and really probably am again but reluctant to go buy all new bras again!!! And on the topic I hate when they put sets together to buy as I have a wide back so when I buy a 36 the pants are always huge!

And lists.... I'm a list queen. Have the time I don't do the things on them but I do love having a list. I especially love the feeling of crossing things off, always in red pen, but usually happens more at work.

Outfit was limited choice today as I was working. I work in retail so I have to wear clothes from my own store which is fine and my outfit was pretty but you wear the same things a lot. It was -

Black pinstripe skirt (almost tulip shape)
    Purple 3/4 sleeve henley tee
    Blue floral print square scarf
    Grey tights

Got some fab buys in the last few days. Will post details on my blog. Also got tights that are too short so if anyone wants let me know (will post pics and description on blog).

    Nic x

I have never posted on this board before, however the DFW board has made me rethink what Mr Spirit and I spend on clothes. Last year we spent relatively little however I need to replace a number of items for the spring/summer.

Please don't laugh I am posting my 'shopping list' with an indication of the shops they come from and how much I expect to pay. I hate clothes shopping so tend to do it in one or two bursts most of it in John Lewis . I will buy sale/outlet goods, but it has to be what I want. Advice is sought on what other brands are out there that I could try that might reduce the cost .Slippers Nordika

Last summer I got away with wearing jeans and flip flops a lot at home, but want/need to be better dressed this year.

The slipper brand I love. As soon as i put tehm on they relax me - mad I know. My current pair have worn out (a hole) after several years. My daughter "adopted" the previous pair and they are still in use.

    Thanks
