Alex, the blog is looking good. You can always do pics of the details of the outfit until you are comfortable with photos. I don't especially like the photos on my blog, I (like Queen) find myself pulling odd faces, but have just settled with thinking 'this is what I look like, if people don't like it then tough luck'!
