Problem with Pergo Laminate Flooring

Hi, I wonder if anyone could tell me what my next step should be on a problem with some laminate flooring I purchased.
Situation so far . .
Purchased some Pergo black laminate flooring over the internet from a reputable supplier. We picked Pergo as their website states it is 'Very high impact resistance' and 'outstanding wear, impact and scratch resistance' with two small children this was important to us. We paid a professional fitter to install it.
However after a couple a weeks I started to notice small white indentations appearing on the surface, once when my son dropped a teaspoon! We contacted Pergo who told us we had to go through supplier. I contact the supplier and I received a tube of putty in the post from Pergo with only a compliment slip, however the putty is not suitable for the problem I have.
So again several more phone calls & emails and no response, I therefore sent a letter recorded delivery asking them to test the batch of flooring I received, to which they replied they have tested the batch and it is not faulty, but if I send a sample of my flooring they will test it or alternately they can arrange an independent inspector to test the flooring at my cost, or I can arrange one myself. I wrote back to them on 21st May enclosing a sample of my flooring (after dropping a spoon and a set of keys on it), also asking how much it would cost me for an inspector to come out, and surprise surprise I haven't had a reply.
Where do I go from here can anyone help?

Hi,
No laminate floor, no matter how cheap or expensive it is, shouldn't leave any indentations if a teaspoon is dropped onto it! ....however if you were to drop a set of keys onto the floor, there is a chance there WILL be some indentations. This applies to most laminate floorings, and is a normal occurrence, Im afraid.
My advice would be to contact the supplier again, as there is a good possibility they buy their stock from a wholesale distributor, rather than Pergo direct. The distributor should then contact Pergo themselves and possibly should arrange an independent inspections representative to visit you.
I cannot see how they can reject your floor as not faulty if they have not physically had a look at it in situ. IMO this is just their way of giving you the brush-off. If you can prove that a teaspoon causes the floor to dent, then Independent Inspections will put this in their report to the manufacturer.Profit=sanity

Thank you for your reply.
In a previous letter I did request that a Pergo Rep came to see the flooring just to tell me 'yes that perfectly normal' or 'a teaspoon should not be leaving that mark' however never had a reply! and when I contacted Pergo initially they told me I had to go through the supplier!
Thanks again0 -
