Got the green one for £13 @ Tesco 4 months ago, my boy is 3 and loves the drawing game already on the system. The Dragon game is a bit hard, but he is getting into it.
Also u can put an SD card in the battery compartment to download games, the only ones I can find are the 2 from the leapfrog website.
The best thing this has over the Nintendo DS is all the games are learning, eg. numbers/letters/maths, but also fun. (not just silly fun!)
AND you can connect the system to your PC and see how your child is developing at each of the games.
The bad things are it does freeze occasionally, often pressing pause can undo it, or the home button.
The games are expensive, and only available online. (prob seen 3 in total in shops) Best place to get them would have been Woolies (rip)
Really think for £13 (or £20 from Argos) this really is worth the money for a 3/4yr old as there is definately 2yrs + of use.I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
I've bought a Dora the explorer game from ebay for £4.76 & £1 p&p tonight, think i'm going to put the star wars game we got with it on ebay as she won't be interested in that!0

This is great thanks, just what i needed for an upcoming 8 hour journey with a 4 and 5 year old! Just afew questions, i have managed to resesrve 2 but it's quite a distance, will they definately keep them? Also does the console come with 'pre loaded' simple games or does it only play what you plug in? Only asking as i don't think my daughter will be interested in the star wars game so may need to get her a game aswell. Did i read about buying a memory card then downloading several games, how does that work?...Sorry technophobe here!!0

Where are you travelling from they had 3 in stock in Speke, Merseyside.
I've reserved them to see if any family want some but you could have 2 if that's nearer for you. They're reserved until Mon for me.
They do keep them but only until the date they've said.
I picked my 3 up yesterday, I only had to jump a train.
They come with the Star Wars game but you can buy the games cheap on Ebay & sell the Star Wars game.
