Runtime error

Having installed a game called Dawn of War on my laptop running Vista, when I go to play the following appears

Runtime Error

Program c:\program files\THQ\Dawn of War\W40k.exe

abnormal program termination


Anyone know what is going on please?

  • Dawn of War came out in 2004 and so think it was geared towards XP and so prob have problems in Vista. Also, it is known to be quite picky about which graphics cards it is using too... apparently it likes ATI cards more than nVidia for some reason!

    My initial recommendations would be to make sure you update your graphics card drivers to the latest version and enable XP compatibility mode for the game and see how you get on with it then.
