I've used these Discs and they are Pukka.

They even pick up as 8x Speed on my Pioneer 108 DVD Burner. ;)

But how long have you stored them before seeing if the data is still there?

How long do you need to store them,1 day,1week,1 month,1year?
The manufacturer has been in business since 1957 (all info on Amazon site)
It seems like the old nonsense about supermarket petrol being inferior to named brands.
  • what about svp.co.uk - much better media, usually free delivery, best customer service I've seen in all my life and cheap enough media...
  • I ordered a tub of these yesterday, arrived this morning.
Box OK, but internal packing awfull. fastened in by cover of tub, disks are heavy and 'escaped' by smashing the end off.
    Returning for cash back.

Tried a couple of the disks - ID is CMC MAG AF1 and the site
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
Puts them in the "Pathetic garbage media, landfill material, about 0-50% success rate:" category and I agree - both seemd to write OK, but failed to read even the first 'sector'.

You tell me - how long do you want your data to last?

This has no relevance at all. There are plenty of companies who have been around for a long time who sell cheap stuff which just about works.
It seems like the old nonsense about supermarket petrol being inferior to named brands.

I agree that there is a lot of nonsense about the differences between petrol, which doesn't stand up. This is rather different, though.

I am merely warning you that if you put faith in these disks to store valuable data, you might come a cropper when you come back to them later and the data has disappeared. If there's nothing you can't replace, then go ahead and enjoy them.

Got my Hi space dvd-r today. Burned 2 discs, one data and one dvd video. Both show as 100% in a nero scandisk surface scan and the discs read in all my devices. Hopefully I've got a good batch!
