If you want to go to the Broads and you feel OK about going on spec you can go to the banks of the river waveney in Oulton Broad, Lowestoft (you reach it by going along Cotmer Road) and find a boat yard. These boat yards will sometimes let you hire a boat for a week or a few days at a cheaper rate than a company like Hoseasons. The only problem is that they may be all booked out when you get there but then there are quite a few bed and breakfasts and hotels in that area.

Thanks. I guess, I could always take the motorhome and then move on if nothing available?

Hoseasons don't seem to do late deals...

They might if you ring them a couple of weeks before you want to leave at the head office number (which is also in Lowestoft funnily enough - everything happens here) on 01502 502588.
