Hello,
I registered with One.com as a web host but never used it and presumed it would expire after one year. In June I received a new bill for another 1 year contract, I emailed them to say I hadn't requested another years contract and wanted to cancel it, they said that according to their Terms and conditions this had to be done 35 days in advance of the end. I didn't see these T&C when I signed up as they were hidden away on the website and why don't they send out a reminder like most scrupulous companies?
I questioned this and they said that was fine and yet today I get another bill for the annual amount for £19 (which is double what last years annual amount was yet they didn't inform me it would go up) PLUS £10 for a Reminder Invoice that I didn't receive. I've now been told I have to pay by credit card before the 20/8/09 or I will incur more charges. Is this legal?
Avoid at all costs, bunch of rip-off merchants.

move this to the consumer rights board
just because its a website doesnt mean this thread is best suited in the techie forumBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Their T&Cs are legal according to the people I spoke to.
I had the same issue and posted here about it. I got out of it because they could not prove I agreed to their T&Cs, could not produce the T&Cs that I had agreed to and kept showing me the T&Cs which were dated after my signup date.0
