Bank reclaim and Ombudsman

Hi

I put in a claim to my bank right at the beginning of this issue and when they refused to repay the money I then sent everything to the Ombudsman. Since then the matter has been put on hold.

I am finding it extremely frustrating that I cannot get further on this issue purely because my bank has continued since my letters to take more and more from me.

Only last month they took £75 for three direct debits which they took from my account one day too early yet had they paid the dd on the correct day there were sufficient funds in the account to pay them. They then took another £20 for being overdrawn for three days because they don't credit the account until the evening.

Do I just sit and wait for the final decision on these unfair charges or is there anything else I can do.

Sorry no doubt you have been asked this question numerous times but according to my calculations the bank owes me approx £6000 of which I could really do with right now and I am about to become a grandmother for the first time.

Thank you

If you are in financial hardship you can ask the bank to re assess you under Financial hardship. They do not have to pay out but one option is an interim payout to alleviate financial hardship.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
