I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder (DMR-EX75), and my son pushed a DVD into the machine this afternoon, and it has now jammed. The screen keeps flashing please wait and it won't do anything. I can't open the drawer or watch anything on the hard drive. Is it completly bust or can it be fixed?

It sounds very fixable, probably its just the DVD tray mechanism is now distorted and it's motor is stalled.
Once the unit is opened and access is gained to the DVD drive unit assembly, it should be fairly easy to rectify with a little brute force.0 -
Thank you so much for your replies. We turned it off at the wall for 30 mins and when we switched it back on it had fixed itself. Phew, need to buy a DVD guard now to stop our son trying it again!0
