What are you wearing threads...

Hi everyone

Obviously this board is essentially a MoneySaving board, along with all the others but it's evolved over time into much more.

That's great and we're happy for it to stay that way, but it would help those people looking for the MoneySaving threads if you could keep discussion of what you're wearing all in one thread rather than a specific one for each day?

Many thanks!

Andrea :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

It would be great if you could do the same with the OS daily chat threads too, to be fair ( not that I read or post on either ) MSE seems to be over run with them both at the moment , I really cant see why OS should be any different :)

But why if it doesn't cause bickering over there? i do post on the thread and no one on that board has issue with it?

MSE Andrea has done the sensible thing. OS may be different because it is just one subject but here we have health beauty and fashion which to be fair each subject could warrant its own board but at present Possibly because it might be a lot of work that isnt going to happen so we have to use the space sensibly and responsiblyand a single thread serves that purpose best..

Maybe because the sub-forum itself is called "Old Style Money Saving" - so maybe it's a little more understandable? Not to hark back but the only reason that Fashion is NOW part of the H,B & F thread is because the Fashion threads started appearing. The title was changed AFTERwards.

(OK - I've harked back - but it's a key difference in my opinion. I also can't abide the OS daily thread chats but they have been there forever. But within the thread itself it has been commented [NOT by me] that there is sometimes too much chat and very little OS.)

The threads are dotted about all over the place Bitsy, wouldnt it be better just to keep them all in one place  Personally I cant see the point of the OS daily chat thread, but thats just my opinion , and not intended to offend .All OS related chat should be on the same thread :)

I take on board all your points but essentially what I was trying to say was if it ain't broke don't fix it ;) Just because a daily thread on here hasn't panned out doesn't mean to say that it can't happen elsewhere. It just seems as though OS is going to be dragged into something like this for no other reason than MSE is phobic about daily threads. Trust me there is soooooo much merging on OS its untrue so the daily chat doesn't really have any impact and the number of threads.

The clue GotToChange, is not in "Old Style" but in "Money Saving".

See, this site is called " The Money Saving Expert".

That's because we all either wish to save money, make more or ideally a combination of both.

    Nite.
  • Gosh - I'm so confused now; am I getting another ticking off?

I have no interest in the Old-Style threads; I tried to keep up - and simply couldn't. I think that the Fashion daily (& other) threads were in danger of overwhemlimng and that was what bothered me.

If anyone thinks that I am quietly rubbing my hands together in smug glee, please think again - I am so not. I am only pleased that I (hopefully) don't have to defend myself quite so much and will devote my energies elsewhere (with a note to self to stop causing trouble)...

I promise promise promise to not say anything on the daily thread - cross my heart.

(Am tipsy from pub squiz so excuse typos please.)

Well that's going to be an easy promise to keep - there won't be a daily thread :p
