We went br on Monday and today I find a letter from The Bankruptcy Protection Fund Limited.

They are literally saying they can help us keep our home, ensure our creditors are repaid and and the bankruptcy is cancelled.

Now I'm not swayed by their claims [TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM FOLLOWING COMPLAINT] (i'm naturally suspicious!) but I do want to know how they know i'm bankrupt. Only the courts know and I've only told Freemans Catalogue we're BR.

How on earth have they got this information!? I feel like calling them up and asking them how they know i'm bankrupt, what do you think?

[TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM FOLLOWING COMPLAINT]....they trawl the insolvency register as well as the London Gazette looking for recent bankrupts

100's of letters have been sent....just bin it & wouldnt waste a phonecall to them

  • I had exactly the same thing here. I went BR last Thursday & the day after I got that very same letter & I too wondered how the heck they knew about it all..

I rent my house of our local council, so it doesnt really apply to me but its been bugging me ever since the letter arrived as to how they got my details

We had one each too, everyone seems to get them!

They get the address from the insolvency register as others have said.
