Ok dipping my toe in the pond here to ask for advice on making a usb stick secure so no one else can read it. I have searched but came up with so many answers none of which answered my question. Please help.
I had roboforms and downloaded the portable one but all that did was transfer passcards onto the usb. I need to stop others from using the usb it if lost. Thank you for reading and hope you can help a damsel in trousers actually. (Not wearing a dress)

Either free software like truecrypt suggested, or hardware encryption built into the stick like ironkey which is expensive

I use Truecrypt and can't fault it. Though there are certain keys that will come with encryption. I know that my Kingston did.
