I have £60,000 that I need to invest to provide me with a regular, reliable, monthly income. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Abouu 5000 areas to invest available. Do you want to give us a hand by narrowing down the options a bit?
It may be an idea to read one of the many similar threads to get an idea of the usual questions and answers and then give us an update of what you are looking for.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Where its invested or what its invested in is largely immaterial.
What I require is to ensure my capital is secure, and that I have a reasonable monthly return. I have been advised to look at Sterling Investment Bond - Protected Profits Fund and Norwich Union Investment Bond - Guaranteed Fund (£30,000 in each).
Whilst these guarantee capital security, they only offer Growth POTENTIAL - which isn't what I require - as I said before I need a guaranteed monthly income.0 -
the term "reasonable" means different things to different people. can you be more specific? A site like https://www.bestinvest.co.uk lets you input details to get a personal risk character then suggests where you may invest, but it does not include online banks which may be what you want.Something Really Interesting0

The word 'PROBLEMS' in your title seems to be a misnomer. A person with £60000 to invest should hardly be having problems.
Unless you are saying the money is the source of the problems, in which case, am more than willing to share your problems with youIt's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!0 -
a savings account at 5% will give you a annual return of 3,000 before tax0
-
an example of a savings account that will give you that rate of return is ING DIRECT.

If you're over 50 then the Northern Rock Silver Savings account gives monthly interest at a higher rate than ING, namely 5.1%.

Hit the 'latest rates' tab on the laft to see the interest rate.0
