Reading through the pamphlet that came with my BT bill this morning, I was astounded at the price to call directory enquires 99p per minute plus a 40p connection charge , it is even worse for international codes £2.69 per minute or part of a minute, plus a 49p connection charge.
It would be interesting to know how much the price has increased since the old 192 number was scrapped to allow more competition :rotfl:
I know you can use the free web service , but the prices seem to have increased rapidly.

118226 costs 23½p for up to 2 enquiries.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
