Delayed Baggage

Air India has to be the worst airline to travel on - ever.
Old filthy aircraft, very old staff and not to mention the all too frequent delays and cancellations to their flights.
Yet merely for the convenience I travelled business class with them the other day. It appears that they did not load my bags on to the flight and was made to fill in a form at Heathrow.
The bags were supposed to be delivered today (Sunday) and there is no sign of them.
The pathetic excuse for baggage company called "Express Baggage" sent me a text saying that my bags had been retrieved at 3.40pm. All very well, but they did not provide me with an ETA.
Air India and Baggage staff were adamant that I would receive by this evening when I was first informed of the delay to my bags.
Today it has been impossible to speak to a human at Air India or Express Baggage - no doubt because its a Sunday. But then they shouldnt promise to deliver my bags today should they?
Question
1) What should I do now?
2) Am I entitled to compensation?
3) What is usually claimable on travel insurance?
Your help appreciated.
