Just had a look through the first two links and I've checked everything I can to go with them.
Any joy with the PageDefrag download?

Don't know if it's connected, but every time I run Ccleaner, I get the following item:-
Unused File Extension {80b8c23c-16e0-4cd8-bbc3-cecec9a78b79} HKCR\{80b8c23c-16e0-4cd8-bbc3-cecec9a78b79}

I can fix it as many times as I like, but it won't go away.
The Glary Utilities reg cleaner won't remove it either.

It was rather uneventful really. Downloaded quickly, ran it to show most of the files it defrags (which 'normal' defragger doesn't apparently) were already at 1 which is good, but my pagesys was 7. I selected for it to defrag that on next boot, but upon rebooting it said it was already as contiguous as possible and it remains at 7. Doesn't bother me, but I thought it'd lower it to 1 <shrug>

I've only got 3 fragments on my pagefile so I don't think it'll do a great deal.

As for the registry key, looks like it's more of an annoyance than anything else. Left over from the Avira update.
I think I'll ignore it from now on.
