Fine in a normal house, this is a Persimmons house we are talking about, not the best builder in the country.;)
I wouldn't risk it.0 -
Thanks guys and gals. I dont think i am going to risk it to be honest if it had been a well built older house i wouldnt have even asked. I spoke with my daughter last night and we have come up with a plan. Once i'm 37 weeks we will take down her bed and install one of the large comfy air beds for her that way she can stay in her room until D day and its just a matter of collapsing the bed when the time comes about 5 mins work with an electric air pump.
I knew moving into this house would bite me in the !!! eventually they seem like such a good idea at the time. :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
with the safety margin factor added, its unlikely to be a problem.
however, as been said, i wouldnt take the risk when there is a viable alternative solution.
ps.
are you sure the ground floor is a solid floor?Get some gorm.0 -

Ground floor is concrete so shouldnt be any weight issues :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Well on your babies head be it! I heard of one owner who had a party and the floor collapsed. Builders claim there were too many people in one room."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Hi missile not to sure what you mean by that i have decided not to go with the 1st floor idea as i dont have any assurance the floor will take the weight. The ground floors are solid concrete laid on top of the foundations if they cant take the weight of a birth pool then god help us as far as the rest of the house is concerned :jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Good luck with the baby...;)0
