Cheap electricity company for apartment?

Hello,

I live on my own in a 2 bed apartment and am currently with eon for my electricity (I don't have gas). I do find eon to be very expensive so am trying to switch.

I heard someone who lives in the block opposite me mention a company beginning with "E" that does cheap electricity, especially if you live in an apartment but I can't remember what it was called!

I know it's a total long shot, but does anybody have any idea what company this might be? If not, can anybody recommend a suitable supplier?

Thanks

    EDF?

    Ebico?

Why not use a couple of the comparison sites in the resource bar above to see who would offer you the best value for your individual circumstances; it could be a very different result compared to your neighbour even if they did use a comparison site.

Also as Ebico has no shareholders to pay it should offer lower prices, another point in it's favour is they do not rip- off people using pre -payment meters.

Ebico prices mirror those Scottish and Southern ( who do their billing).
They are only competitive for direct debit customers where they are very low users, and even in that instance theri electricity is not the cheapest.

    EDF
    Ebico
    EON
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Mirror?
Implies they reflect SSE prices? Definitely not.
Ebico have their own rates & tariffs available from their website, http://www.ebico.co.uk

Ebico did once state that they would benchmark their price changes against that of SSE, which led to some misunderstanding. Some people felt they would mirror SSE price changes exactly, but history has shown it simply meant that ebico would review and probably revise prices as and when SSE did so, but not necessarily by the same amount.
Prior to that, Ebico tried to maintain price stability of their tariffs irrespective of whether competitors raised or lowered their prices.

No such thing as "cheap" electricity !

There is very little difference price wise between the suppliers - they just confuse you with the way the "package" is put together, to make you think they are cheaper.
