Love the kitchens in their showroom. Has anyone had experience of them yet, they are a fairly new company over here. They have been around in Germany for a while.

Something just doesn't look right, can't put my finger on it...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Hi, thought something didn't add up with them so I did a little research...
GDK are owned by Nobilia, who are a low end German kitchen manufacturer. Nobilia bought out the company who made the carcases for MFI and have entered the UK market through two companies; kutchenhaus and GDK.
Their whole "you buy direct from the factory, so it saves you money" philosophy is basically a clever way to hide the fact they are selling a low end product, but using the German tag line to make it sound like you are getting a fantastic deal.
You shouldn't compare their kitchens to the likes of RWK, Wellman, Hacker, Leicht etc, you should be comparing them with B&Q and Wickes...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
