On STA travel ( so u have to be under 26) with Virgin
heathrow - jfk 5 dec
returning: jfk - heathrow 9 dec
both flights direct. total cost inc taxes etc £298
is this a good deal or will the BA sale potentially beat it in Sept??
I would also need to fly to Heathrow and back as im in Glasgow.
Thoughts? Many Thanks

The general rule of thumb is that £300 is as cheap as flights to the US get. It might get a little cheaper if booking numbers are down, but I wouldn't risk it. It's a good price.0

Yeah, £230 is the cheapest it gets to NY, nothing beats that. Usually with Delta.Vanquis- Limit £1250, balance £0
Capital One Classic- Limit £800, balance £0
Natwest Current Account- £800 OD limit, approx £600 OD
Loan- £3300, will be paid off by Dec 09
Student Loan- paid off Dec 09 (That's £150 a month extra! Woohoo)
Empire Catalogue Account- £750 limit, balance £300 -

Wrong! Flights have been lower than that at several points over the past eighteen months.Gone ... or have I?0 -

actually, historical prices are useful, to know if a £300 deal is good.. if last year they were £200, and this year £300, then it might not be the best deal around..0
