The general rule of thumb is that £300 is as cheap as flights to the US get. It might get a little cheaper if booking numbers are down, but I wouldn't risk it. It's a good price.
  • Yeah, £230 is the cheapest it gets to NY, nothing beats that. Usually with Delta.
    Vanquis- Limit £1250, balance £0
Capital One Classic- Limit £800, balance £0
Natwest Current Account- £800 OD limit, approx £600 OD
Loan- £3300, will be paid off by Dec 09
Student Loan- paid off Dec 09 (That's £150 a month extra! Woohoo)
Empire Catalogue Account- £750 limit, balance £30

Wrong! Flights have been lower than that at several points over the past eighteen months.
    Gone ... or have I?

I'm not sure that you or any of the other posters will find information about the price of flights eighteen months ago to be of much use.

actually, historical prices are useful, to know if a £300 deal is good.. if last year they were £200, and this year £300, then it might not be the best deal around..
