Bank charges reclaim processed but still unhappy with bank

Hello. I have received a goodwill payment of roughly £300 of £1200 from my bank in unfair charges. I am still very unhappy with them and would like to close my account and go elsewhere. Would this be advisable under the circumstances and could it affect my claim with them?
Thanks. H

If your account is in credit and/or you can pay off what is owed then there is nothing to stop you from closing the account. Keep the paperwork and if your address changes make sure you keep them up to date with it. The rest of the claim will be paid on conclusion of the OFT test case issues.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
