Cheap Gas and Electric query!

I am with Atlantic Electric and get a months payment returned every year for the gas and the electric.
Does anyone know if this is taken into account when doing a comparison check?
I have found comparison sites different but no mention of any payback included in what they quote?
By the way i have had no real problems with Atlantic Electricand have been with them for several years.

I don't think most if any include this discount.
This is because the comparison sites base their results on how much it would cost for 1 year...and you need to be with atlantic over 1 year to get the rebate.
Look at the tariff details and the rebate should ideally be confirmed there, although not included in the calculated amount"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
This is why i didn't think it was a afair comparison if the rebate is not taken inton account as well. Atlantic Electric can be as cheap as others if they took the rebate into account as it is quite a saving.0

I haven't checked now, but I used to be with Atlantic and the comparison website I used (Energy Helpline) did include the discount. They basically knocked a twelfth off the expected annual bill.
I learned that it was better to overpay significantly with Atlantic as the discount was based upon a twelfth of what you had paid, not what you had actually used!If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0 -
These are switching sites we are talking about! They only make any money when people switch through them, do you really think they wouldn't include this in their figures? Unless Atlantic don't pay them comission, of course. They certainly include the npower annual discount paid 12 months in arrears so why not this? Funnily enough, not one mention of Eon's no discount on final bill T&C, though. :rolleyes:Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
