nationwide statement of charges also including interest?

Hi am about to send off the letter stating financial hardship after receiving statement of charges.
They have also included interest charges which I had been charged for use of overdraft.
Should I include these in the total amount I claim? I wondered if it was a tactic by them to get me to claim for the full amount so they could just say no to the interest therefore stalling the claim?
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I have read the letter thouroughly and the tone suggests to me they would try anything to trip people up who are claiming

There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.

No bank is paying out even under financial hardship for interest but it would be repayable if they lose later OFT test case issues. I would include interest on the charges. The Calculator on MSE charges guide does work it out for you.0
