Has anyone every used a Solicitor's practice in Manchester called "GR Solicitors", if so how did you get on with them.
We are curious because we have used them and we are not happy with them at all. If has been a year and they have not sent kept us up to date with progress, they have not returned phone calls are anything.

Hi i am currently using this firm to claim credit card charges with 3 companies. I am awaiting a cheque from one. There communication is not brilliant but so far have done the job. I will let you know when the cheque arrives this week before i give the thumbs up completely.

I read with interest the posts above and thought it appropriate to provide a response.
Firstly, I must apologise to any client that feels that we may not have maintained the frequency of contact that they were expecting.
However I must add that as a firm we currently manage claims on behalf of 6,000 clients and so it would be very difficult for us to maintain contact with everybody on a monthly or even bi-monthly basis. If we did it would have the effect of taking us away from completing the legal work on each case and could delay clients receiving monies back.
In addition I feel it useful to add that we currently complete all cases within an average of four months and it is highly unusual for any case to take longer than nine months from initial contact to settlement. Any case that does take longer than the average will typically require responses from the Financial Ombudsman Service or for court dates to be set – both areas outside of our control.
We would also remind clients that our model for reclaiming charges and insurances, on credit card, bank accounts and loans, states that we will take no fees until the case is completed. It is therefore very much in our interest to succeed with cases in as short a timeframe as possible.
Finally, we pride ourselves on the open approach to our work and welcome requests from clients for updates as required and would ask clients to call 0161 793 6565 and we will be happy to help.
