How do I cancel payment and resend?

Over the weekend I won an item and paid for it by Paypal and as it said unclaimed I emailed the seller to calim the money.
Yesterday she sent an email saying she had posted it out but I have not received it yet and it was still saying unclaimed.
I have just received an email from her asking me to cancel that payment as she can't get it due to a spelling mistake.
I have just checked and it is still showing unclaimed and there is a button to cancel payment beside it, but can anyone tell me what to do as I don't want to make a mess of it.
Thank you

Ask her to send you the exact spelling. Compare with what u sent, if it differs, cancel the payment and send again. Why would she send it out if she didn't have the money??? Seems a little odd.0

She had sent the new address and there is one less "e" in the new one than was in the other one.
As I had been selling some of my clothes on ebay I had enough money in Paypal to pay for it and I still have enough to pay for it again without having to use my credit card but will my first payment be refunded straight away or will it take a while?0 -
Hi,
I had the same problem recently. I cancelled payment and made a second one through paypal. The payment still showing as unclaimed. The seller was getting very impatient and asked for a cheque, I sent cheque only to find original pament to paypal had left my bank account. I am still waiting for a refund from paypal and its been over a month.0 -
However you funded payment, if you cancel payment, it should show immediately in your paypal account.Thursdays_child wrote: »She had sent the new address and there is one less "e" in the new one than was in the other one.

Payment will always go back to where it came, so if funded from credit card for example, it would go back there. It will show immediately in paypal account, but may take time to reach credit card account.
As you appear to have funded by existing paypal balance, it should be a simple case of an immediate refund to your paypal account.
Do not pay again until you are sure you have the money refunded to your paypal account.
If the seller has set up wrong paypal details on ebay, she may have to correct them first so that you can pay to the associated paypal account.
Only pay by associating to the ebay item else you will lose ebay buyer protection."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
