Possible Bank Charge - not my fault

Luckily, I've never been charged by the bank before, however, I booked a holiday on Monday, and the deposit has been taken off my Debit Card twice, which has resulted in me going overdrawn.
I rang the holiday company, and they say the second charge has already been refunded, (They're with Barclays, I'm with HSBC) so I also rang HSBC to confirm this, he says the reversal isn't showing up on my account yet. I asked will I be charged, he said yes, £25, and he suggests I claim it back off Jetline travel.
A few questions....
A: Is it worth me going to my local branch and complaining? Its not my fault, why should I be charged now?
B: When will the £25 charge go out of my account? Payday isn't until next week, and if the £25 charge goes out now, I'll be overdrawn again. Will I be charged and charged and charged?
C: If the bank refuses to stop the £25 charge, how likely am I to get it back from the Travel company?
Many thanks... I'm bleeding livid!

Ask them to waive the charges as a gesture of goodwill to you since it was your first charge on the account.0 -
Thats what I'm going to do I think, if they refuse the waiver, I want them to put something on paper to state it was the double deposit taking by the Holiday Company which has caused the charge so I can present them (the Holiday Company) with that.2009 Wins.

If they say no then it's try C if the company have confirmed in writing that they have made a mistake.Thats what I'm going to do I think, if they refuse the waiver, I want them to put something on paper to state it was the double deposit taking by the Holiday Company which has caused the charge so I can present them (the Holiday Company) with that.0 -
Result.
Just been to the bank, the refund from the Holiday company has now appeared, and there are no outstanding charges appearing on the system in the bank. The adviser at the bank seems to think it won't appear, but said to check in a couple of days just in case.
She rekons its a mix between the fact it was refunded almost instantly, and the fact that nothing else has gone out the account may be why a charge wasn't triggered.2009 Wins.

You are not usually charged at all the first time you go overdrawn or over your formal limit within any given six month period. Any future occurences will probably attract a charge during the next six months. How quickly things are refunded is unlikely to have been a factor.0
