Cost of converting to a kitchen diner?

Can anyone advise a rough cost to knock down the wall in to the kitchen and put one up to divide part of the lounge diner, making a kitchen diner.

Wall to be knocked down is 10 foot (not supporting wall) and wall to be put up is 18 foot.

Thanks

If it is not a supporting wall you can knock down yourself, free of charge. That will save you a bit when you get a quote.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • Sorry to question you, but how do you know it is not a supporting wall? Have you been advised?

Is it a stud wall or blockwork - this will affect the price as there will be costs to remove the rubble? Are there electrics in the wall? You will also need to factor in, plaster repairs to the adjoining walls, infilling the ceiling and matching with existing - such as plaster skim or artex.

Why don't you get a couple of builders around to give you a quote as it will also be dependent on the area of the country that you live in.
