Changing Letting agent while tenant is in my property?

    well done

    give them deadlines for sending you the list of documentation you will need

    1) signed copy of AST
    2) signed copy of inventory
    3) tenant application from
    4) credit checks done on tenant
    5) final rent statement at handover day
    6) sets of keys if they have any
    7) guarantor application form/credit checks if any
    8) letter from them confirming cessation of contract with you with no further action to be taken nor fees claimed by them
    9i) documentation as to where tenants deposit is held
    10) copies of any electrical or gas certificates they hold on your behalf
    11) copies of all letters written to tenants

    hi westhamdaz. thanks for posting this thread. i was wondering the same myself. our letting agents regularly "forget" to pay us our rent. we are now in the habit of ringing them around the 7th asking if we have recevied our rent, they say yes and then we get a chaps payment the same day! then about a week later i ring them again asking for a copy of our statement! it's ridiculous.
