Call diverting

Sorry, maybe a long shot but someone might knows.
As I live in a very bad reception area I started to divert my mobile phone to my landline, to my surprise I found that I need to pay for every incoming call that get diverted (ie my mobile 'phone' my landline and the call is routed).
I don't use my mobile that much so it's on PAYG with Family Mobile (T-Mobile).
Is there any way around these charges?

Their is no way around not paying for the call divert from your mobile to a landline/mobile on Family Mobile. 9p is the published rate.

You can divert your landline to any mobile number-it doesn't matter if it's contract or PAYG as you're actually paying for the incoming call through your landline bill. We've used it for years as we run a small business from home and we divert calls when we're out of the house. As far as I know there's no way round it but you could maybe see if your provider has capped hourly rates to mobiles if you tend to have people ringing you and staying on the line for a while. We'd been with BT since we started up 20 years ago but recently moved to Talk Plus Telecom and we pay about 10p an hour for our diverted calls, which has saved us quite a bit. They also charge a bit less for calls to the O2 network for some reason. Hope this helps and if anyone knows how to do it for free let me know too!

The OP is talking about diverting from a Mobile to a Landline not the other way around.;)

Sorry been thick, what is the 'diverted leg'? I am not paying a flat 9p for the duration but 9p/minute full price as if I was calling my self to another phone, tho these are incoming calls.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

Yes you pay 9p a minute for the duration of the diverted call. The original caller pays the bit to your mobile,you pay for the diverted leg.This is normal practice.
You could leave a voicemail message asking people to call home number.

Except in the referrers section and always declare any interest.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
