Dulux paint pod

If you have bought a paint pod and wonder if it will work with ordinary paint, the short answer is kit it won't. I tried using ordinary paint and managed to gum up the paint pod tube and the roller head. Ordinary paint won't come out of the roller.

  • Thanks for that.

Paint pods have been discussed before and it has been decided they are a waste of money.

We looked at these in B&Q the other day as i am slowly redecorating our house throughout..almost died when i saw they were around £60 plus the paint was £30..we didn't bother! as for the paint i guessed that no others would work otherwise poss worth the money but tbh i have found my paint pad equally as easy! I got a pad set with tray, pads roller etc..and twice the amount of paint for £26! have done a kitchen/dining room and used about 1/4 if that so pretty pleased plus the paint i am impressed with being B&Q's own!
Thanks for the tip though for future ref!

I dont think would save a lot of money doing that unless your going to use very cheap paint. Cheap paints change color overtime. pods cost £30 a pod or 2 pods for £40 in B&Q.. cost of dulux 2.5l paint is £15 so they no saving unless you need 2 tins theys do sell 5L paint tin for £25 so they is a saving of £5. also extra time is mixing and it could kill your paint pod..

Also they a offer on B&Q site spend £50 and get £10 off http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/510389/10-off-50-spend-at-b-q-printable-vo

Other offers are B&Q buy paint pod compack for £35 and get free color paint pod.. I dont if this offered this weekend for if you got a paintpod you could buy it for space parts..

Did you try thinning the paint before using in the pod? My spray gun needs paint to be thinned a little before use to avoid clogging.

Paint is a killer price for those things...and they are no use for anything else really are they?

I nearly bought one of these though...they use paint right from the pot Wagner is a professional tool maker so they are well made too.
