Paula Rosa Kitchens

Has anyone got any experience of Paula Rosa kitchen units. I ask because I have recently been working on one. The web site says that they are high quality. The one that I have been dealing with looks like a load of old tat to me. It is certainly no better than many that I have assembled from the sheds.

    Nope, never heard of them...

    Hi,

I have come across them before a little bit. I think you are pretty right in saying they are rubbishy. They go after the contract market, so you don't really see them in many retail places. I like the way you say the website says they are 'high quality'. You don't think they are going to be honest do you?

Every kitchen manufacturer says their's is 'the best'. Magnet do with their 'Full circle service' cr*p and even I think Moben think their's are the best! LOL! Best to be used as fire wood!

No, I did not think that they might be being honest. I was just idly wondering how they came to that claim, based on the poor quality of the sink unit I was working on. I would imagine that the supply was, as CK, says part of a contract to supply kitchens for the whole of the estate where my son lives. The houses are about 10 years old now. I certainly would not entertain buying one for myself.

Never heard of them. Can anyone recommend good places to get kitchens or good kitchen brands (not too expensive :) ). Thanks.
  • I had to fit a few on site once and walked off after a few days. Really not a very good kitchen at all . Must admit I think I walked off cause I didnt like working on a site just as much as fitting a bad quality kitchen

I have just drilled a new hinge hole. I was surprised to find that the door seems to be made of solid wood and not MDF. It is a better quality than the carcass of the unit.

Doors can be made of just about anything. Carcases are usually MFC unless they are very expensive and are solid wood...

  • I have seen Paula Rosa kitchens mentioned in estate agent's house specs before so assumed it must be a really good brand, to make a point of mentioning it.

Steve - have you ever fitted a Clive Christian kitchen? They look amazing - wondering if they live up to the hype.

Well, I've never fitted one, but yes, they do live up to the hype and they are quite stunning...
