there has been considerable discusion and differences in how tenented properties were dealt with. With the current problems there has been a huge increase in these cases and as such the OR's have been issued with new instructions in how to deal with these as of this monthHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
I'm not suprised debtinfo, the rules were they but it seems they were not being put into effect.
Wayforward, could you not move back into the property? You would then be able to buy the BI.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Exactly!
Re the bungalow - will have to wait and see - tbh if it goes it goes - its in massive negative equity and we have only been holding onto it because we can't sell it and also my parents want to move into it and pay the mortgage when their house is sold. We are all prepared for the fact that we will have to let it go - even though it's to the detriment of the rest of our creditors!0 -
I'm no expert on SOAs but I would think the OR would wonder why you have such a large mortgage payment - I'd imagine that they would be encouraging you to rent at about 1/2 the priceDogs have owners...my cat has slaves...0

That's both mortgages - our home mortgage is £1000 per month and we couldn't really rent anything similar in our area - the bungalow mortgage is covered by the rent0
