Claim back tax paid on savings?

Options
I have spent my pre-MSE life not really wanting to think about money (or lack of it) and before finding this site I just bunged any money into accounts and thought little about it. Now I realise that as a non-tax payer I should fill in a form to not pay tax on my accounts. Thing is, I have been paying tax for years

I've just read on another site that you can claim back the last five years of overpaid tax on your savings, but there was no more info. Does anyone know if this is correct, and if it is, how do I do this?

Thanks
