Nearly evertime my young daughter goes on the computer it crashes to a blue screen or just lately turning itself off completely. She downloads music, goes on MSN/facebook usual teenage stuff.
I am now getting occasionally this message
c:/windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/MScorwks.dll could not be loaded
any ideas learned friends?
Thanks

Can you boot into safe mode? Guide here
Once there can you try uninstalling .NET framework from Add / Remove programs in Control Panel?0 -
thanks David I'll give that a go...it seems to be working ok now though...when I'm on here!...just seems to happen when daughter is on
what is .NET framework?0 -
Have you tried System Restore and rolling back to a previous good working state?0

Could be a heating problem.
Is it a desk top or laptop? Sooo many people stick laptops on cushions/knees and block the airflow.
If desktop...how old? give the fan a good hover out.
Otherwise, yes possible application issue and look at system restore to a point prior to the issues.0 -

I'd suggest uninstalling it in safe mode first, rebooting, then run a Windows update: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/The Microsoft .NET Framework is a software framework... It includes a large library of coded solutions to common programming problems and a virtual machine that manages the execution of programs written specifically for the framework.Could be a heating problem.

It didn't sound like a heating problem due to the ocassional message aformentioned but you can always rule this out by using some compressed air e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Duster-Compressed-Flammable-400ml/dp/B000SHSDBS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1250028886&sr=1-4
Turn the PC off, spray this into the vents / fans etc. Leave it 5 minutes. Turn it back on.0 -
Is it by any chance an HP laptop or slimline desktop? - if so there are known problems with video output and hanging / crashing.
