Yahoo email has sent spam to all my contacts, have changed my password, what else do

The emails where in my sent box, I have McAffe already installed and have done a quick scan and a thorough scan but it has shown up nothing, and now the sent message has disappeared. I tried to use one of the free scans off MSE but it will not run at the same time as McAfee, but I darent turn it off and I don't know how to anyway! Someone that I sent it to had a pop up saying that it was a 'tracker virus' that I had sent them.

I really want to make sure I am protected as my last laptop is ruined from a virus

this is pretty much what i had, seems like my online address book was compromised and a load of emails were sent out :mad:

Ive scanned my laptop and nothing has come up at all......

The reason i know its just my online address book stored online at yahoo email where you log on via the web page, is because on my previous laptop had Outlook and wouldnt send emails out for what ever reason, so when i had to send an email i had to log in via the web page and send out emails that way.

I have no contacts stored on my new laptop, which means something has been compromised from yahoos end ............

I have changed my password, is there anything else to do?

^^Any surreptitious emails, I would mark as Spam, so they automatically get rejected.
